I'm playing as Lokhir Fellheart too so he gets them basically for free. I didn't use them that much in the early game because I didn't realize just how good they were but fuck are they exploitable.

A fully upgraded black ark brings so much to the table, so upgrading them fully is high priority for any Dark elf faction. It is possible to play dark elves as a pirating raiding faction, especially with Lokhir.
